HAHA FOUND EM!! Trans Pans!

While reading one of Brandon's (Crossy's Son) posts, he linked to a gauge pod and by accident I found this!

http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...2b37525e49524c

Hope I am allowed to post that, but its the trans pans I have been looking for!!!

Thank Brandon however inadvertent it may have been

Now, where do I find the upgraded flexplate?

That is an interesting pan design. The only thing I would worry about is rocks/dirt getting jammed into those tube openings over a period of time.

Yea my dad has one of them hanging on his garage wall, its for a GM TH-400 and he said it actually worked. going from a stock pan to that he lost 30* on the highway and never saw it go up from there. the little spiral thingies inside the tube fall out over time but it takes a lloooong time.

hahah Mike thats so funny how you found it. don't give me any credit though, it might start conflict

The Derale Pan are also made out of a heaver gauge of steel and the flange is flat so they seal better than the stock pans. I have used the Derale pans But I would not buy one. I am going to buy an deep heavy aluminum pan that will add to the raggedy to the transmissions case. Ken

I installed the same pan on my 47RH when I rebuilt it.
Temps dropped 43* ( digital gauge ) at 70 mph. But I'll bet the temps drop more when you're towing.
After 10K of - mostly - street and - limited - dirt road driving the tubes are not blocked, even though this town has to have the dirtiest paved streets I've ever seen.

I also have this pan on my rigs trany. Tubes have never clogged up, however whenever I pres. wash the engine I include a blast through the pans tubes.
Keeps the temps cool.

I am looking at adding a little extra cooling to my A518. I have been researching the Derale transmission pan. The design is pretty cool, in which it allows air to travel through tubes at the bottom of the pan. They are advertised as cooling down fluid 20-50 degrees. I would like to hear more testimonals to this product. Thanks folks!
