alright i ground my fuel pin a little while back and i took it out to adjust my star wheel and see how the pin was doing and i only see that the pin has been riding near the middle to top and not anywhere below that, what could be the problem? the fuel pin was ground smooth and in a proper curve, if you would like i can take a picture of it so you can see how i did it, the idle is also a little high on my truck, could that be whats causing it, and the plastic washer i ground down also, could it have been to much?
i dotn have a washer at all and my pin is ground pretty good, my idle was high i turned it down with the idle screw and everything is ok mine is also ground at the top some too, take a look at the pin in daves gallery mine is kinda like that
yeah i know it's because of that, but i turned it down more the idle, but i dont have another truck the same as mine around here to listen to and get the proper idle, but ill keep backing it off, and ill back the smoke screw out some, right now it's flush with the nut, and the washer ill try to take out and see what that does for me, i dident grind the pin any more past where the stock ridge is though, i just went deeper into the cut there.
If your star wheel is bottomed it will take less boost to move the fuel pin down making it ride higher on the pin more often.
I tightened up the star wheel spring (counter clock wise) so it doesn't come on till around 18psi.
