I am anxious to get a nice 5" stack about 18" long to complete it. Will be secured with a flange under the hood. That way we can unbolt it and swap the downpipe to the normal exhaust.
It is a GDS 60mm H1C, 12 cm hot side with a 1.5" wastegate passage.
I got the HT3B off from an old international semi. It is a Cummins Recon, looks to be fairly fresh.
Hopefully, in a few weeks it will run again. For awhile probably will just be with the stock inj. and A-1000 supply. Maybe after x-mas get the sticks and then put the 14mm on. One piece at a time.
We re-torqued all the head bolts to 130. Maybe the HG will last a while. I see other people have gotten away with 60 in short bursts.
It was running about 45 psi boost before with the bone stock baby H1C. Do you think with a steady 15 psi fuel pressure it will be able to spool the primary at all with the stock inj.?

More progress.
Wasn't sure if the injector lines were going to work with the plenum cover flipped, but they did. Cut up the holder that went around the grids and used half of it to hold 'em in place. You can see where it was held in two places originally.


Here is the first pipe right from the turbo. It is a piece of 4" I.D. pipe inside the 5" flange. Then I slid my 4" O.D. 90* elbow in untill it seated against the "bell" on the inside of the exhaust housing. So instead of the housing flaring out the 5" then getting crammed back into 4" by the reducer, the gas leaving the turbine never knows it was a 5" outlet. The turbine outlet is smaller than 4", so now it only flares out to 4". I don't know if it was worth it or even a good idea, but it seemed like a good idea to me.


Got the down pipe built. It actually worked out pretty good. Pull the v-band clamp and connect the 90* piece to the DP, resecure v-band. Street legal again. It has one mount to the bellhousing and one the the engine adapter. So it stays put when not in use.


Should be a seal clamp on that joint. ^
