Are you running a wastegated housing on the H1C?

Yes, I plan to anyway. That's the magic size right?

Actually I have some exhaust covers I am going to use. They are like turbo blankets. I have enough to completely wrap the hot pipe and primary ex. housing. Probably have some left for the DP, if we hook the stacks back up.

I would have liked to get the hot pipe shorter, but this way is easier. Also since this is for pulling, spool up shouldn't be a problem.

Doesn't the Scheid dragster have the primary about 3 feet from the secondary?

Nah, probably just have a good 'ol hood stack. We are toying with the idea of being able to run both. Run the hood stack or, pull it off and have another pipe to hook up to the regular exhaust. We'll see how involved that will be.

Yeah it will be a 12cm with lots of porting and a way bigger wastegate passage. I am going to try and hog it out to around 40mm. Might settle for smaller. Wish I had my own mill.

I am basically copying a set I saw on another site, don't know if I can talk about other sites.

This is mainly something to play with. I realize it will limit the places we can pull. It is an attempt to burn the fuel I am going to add soon. Then there's that poor D70, the 30 spline outers, front driveshaft, and alot of other overly stressed/ worn out parts that will give out. Then maybe drop the coin for a big single.

More pics as progress is made.
Thanks for the compliments.

i know i'm a little late with this but could you mount the big turbo over the top of the engine to drain the oil back thru a valve cover?

Actually, that's how my dad said I should do it.

I thought it would look goofy though.

"T" them together.

The primary sits so high, I think it will work fine.

but as far as flow it will not be enough, but for 300 feet at a time it should be fine.

The T will work fine as long as the drain from the primary sits higher than the oil bung in the block.

Yeah, I'm concerned the primary may act like a big paint can shaker at less than a 1000rpm idle. But then I know squat about a pulling truck too.

I like the easy access for sure!!!

I built a mount that comes from the rear two motor mount bolts. Runs up to a plate on the lower oil drain holes. With this, it is rigid, but I will probably add a brace going straight in to the block.

Well I got my 30* elbow and had some time to work on it recently. Have the ex. housing in the mill, and the WG passage cut out to 1.5". Have to spot face the set area and clean up the inlet.

The hot pipe all tacked up:

Here is the flange, I port matched it to the 3b. You can't see it here but I have the other side rounded like an air foil for a T.P.I. chevy. Have pics of that on a different camera.

Got the crossover pieced together as well.

Got some pics sorted out and worked on it some more today.

The primary mount. Hooks to the motor mount bolts and two bolts on the A/C bracket:

The plate for hot pipe, has to be a little better than square edges:

The ex. housing is pretty well machined, still will smooth the inside edges some. It is not perfect but will function. It is a 1.5" (38mm) passage, with less heat loss than an external gate, hopefully.
Just got to get the actuator sorted out:
