Got the clutch out

Well, its out and going to get relined tomorow. It wouldn't even hold a little brake stand anymore.

When you have a clutch relined do you replace the pressure plate or just reuse it?

No I have only messed with clutches in gassers. That's why I asked I was wondering if it was different. In a gasser I would have replaced everything.

Who does a clutch relining? Do you get the pressure plate resurfaced or scuff it up with emery cloth, or the like?

I get all my clutches relined localy at Lincoln Clutch and Brake. I just scuff em up with some 100 grit and go.

Why an I gonna have to resurface it? After 1 hook or boosted launch it will look just like that again, I'll just scuff it with some 100grit like I always do to give the clutch somthing to seat to.

I would have never guessed that your frame looks as good as it does. It's got more paint of one color than the rest of your truck!

Andrew, off topic a hair. Do you think a disc like you're using and Sachs pressure plate would take care of my dyno queen? Dyno runs and street 'testing' only...?

Randy, I just put a fresh rattle can job on the frame and other chassis parts last week.

Bill, I would bet it would, I beat the snot out of mine on the street, lots of brake stands through the gears. When "testing on the street I could bark the 35's when I banged 4th.

its pretty cheap too I had my local clutch shop build me a new disc and it cost me 134$

Truck is back together. I would normaly have more pics but I ended up leaving my camera on top of the spring . This new disc seems like it might take a little bit to seat in.
