Getrag Questions

Where on a getrag 360 is the vent? I have felt all over the top of it and can't find anything.

Mine is a little "jiggle cap" located, if I remember correctly, just in front of the shifter tower, or in close proximity.

I have a getrag question, My tranny shifter is pretty tight for a 280k plus truck. If you are driving down the street in 3rd gear at part throttle, you can reach up and pull it out of gear real easy. It dosen't fall out of gear, but it can be pulled out. I was just wondering if ya'll had any ideas. thanks

sounds normal if there's no load on there, I used to row the gears with no clutch at all in my old 460 v8 ford crewcab on the farm.

EZ, it is possible that your synchros are getting worn and not holding the gear engaged completley, but it is hard to say that with any certainty..
If it is shifting INTO gear OK, its probably not an issue

Is this while the gears are in load, float, or coast setting? If in float, it is normal. if it is in load or coast, it is likely your retaining ***** and springs in the synchro assembly are getting worn, not letting the snchro ring hold the selector in place.
