Factory fill is 3-1/2 Quarts.

I always use FIVE Quarts.

Depends on the use. For bombing around, trying to shift as fast as possible Royal Purple Synchromax or Redline MTL makes for better shifts. For heavy towing, Mobil 1 5W-30 is best because it runs cooler.

If you are meaning the Getrag transmission, five quarts of Mobil One FULL SYNTHETIC 5W-30 is about as good as it gets.

If you mean the engine, stock truck with stock filter holds three gallons.

Three gallons will put it dead center of "SAFE" on the dipstick.

I use Valvoline Blue 15W-40 in my truck.

The wife's truck gets Delo 400 15W-40.

The rest of them get 15W-40 of whatever is handy at the time.
