I'd put it on a 40 amp fuse. There's no way anything but a dead short will blow a 40 amp.

Man some great ideas in here! Here is how I did mine up. Glad to see I'm not the only one who came up with high amp numbers for the fuseable links.

I apologize for bringing up this ancient thread. But after completing this I keep blowing my 125 A alternator fuse. It's shorted out somewhere and I can't figure out where. I even ran a new wire to the alternator and it still blows. Anyone have any ideas as to why this would be happening? There is nothing wrong with any of the fuses I wired in.
