Fuel Pump Comparison ???
I am in the process of plumbing in an electric fuel-pump bypass to use for filter-priming and to supplement the mechanical-pump, in the event of a failure.
I have two pumps to choose from, a like-new Holley Red and a brand-new-in-the-box Carter P4070.
Of the two, which is the better choice for my application ??
The Holley mounts with motor up top; whereas, the Carter says to hang the motor down, such that the fuel circulates throughout the motor-housing, thus cooling and lubricating the pump and motor.
Thanks.

The Carter is a better pump, but I think it's barely adequate to run the truck under load. Since this is not your primary fuel pump I'd use the Holley - and carry a set of brushes for it.
