Fuel Pin help

I finally decided to pull my fuel pin and grind it. I took the top of the cover off and I'm looking at the diaphragm/washer underneath. I marked the diaphragm and the housing but I can only pull the diaphragm up about a quarter of an inch and it stops. It feels like something is holding it down. Should it just slide off easily? What am I doing wrong?

It's prabably a little crudy....like mine was. just turn it a little and keep lifting...gently. It will come out. Should just slide out.

Thanks. I'm going to go back out and try it again. I just don't want to break anything!

Got it in my hands. Thanks. Did you grind your own pin?

My pin is still stock...I just did a 366 spring install...what a difference for $16.00 and a couple of hours.
