Fuel Pin
I spent most of my day off messing with fuel pins. I had 5 used pins that were laying around here that were given free to me from a nice gentleman at the local auto shop a month or so ago.
I used ground 4 and kept one just in case i really messed up!
I noticed a difference with all of the pins. But i figured id share with you the one that gave me the most.
The first pin worked well but was really hard on the egt's. So i scratched it out of the picture.
The second pin didn't really seem to do TOO much. But the egt's were nice with it.
The third pin i messed up and ground it too thin and i could bend it basically in half
The fourth pin gave me around 5 lbs of boost give or take a LB.
The egt's weren't horrible with it and i could defiantly notice a difference. From what i gathered egts were up close to 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit higher than with the stock fuel pin
I know the grind is up high on the pin but that was so i could get my brush in there and clean the pin up smooth.

Wow, I'd think that would be far too aggressive, but with the turbo you're running I guess you can burn that much fuel. Does the diaphram even allow the pin to travel down that far?

Won't the needle that slides on it leak now, or have you made a longer needle?
You picked up 5 lbs over the stock setting or the deepest part of the stock pin?

No, the pin don't travel that far. I just needed to use a smooth brush to smooth it out and i didn't have enough room so I cut some more upwards so i could get the brush in there.
It allowed 5-6 lbs over stock setting.
And we also used it in a friends N/A 5.9 diesel with no mods and it worked fine in his also. Defiantly made a HUGE difference on a stock 5.9
The needle is leaving a tracking on the pin so im guessing its still touching it.
Tomorrow the friend is gonna use the pin on the dyno while im at the track. I'll get back on here tomorrow night with the results from it.
The way i see it the pin is a big mod but its not a huge one. I think any stock truck with just a fuel pin (no matter how aggressive it is) will burn all the fuel that a ground pin could put into the engine just fine.
