Fuel leak problem with Denny T Pin

I put Denny T pin in started leaking fuel out of the vent tube. Disassembled top of pump and replaced oring on guide pin and it still leaks. Disassembled pump again what I found this time was it looks like the Denny T pin lets guide pin taper travel to far in past o ring at full throttle. I do not have the washer between fuel pin and diaphram is that my problem. Has anybody ever run into this before if so, what is the solution. Thax

How far up into the deepest cut of the DennyT is the guide pin running? The washer might translate into a 16th of an inch travel there. May or may not be enough to make a difference, worth a try. Is it a StageIII, StageII or what? Maybe Denny needs to include longer guide pins with the really aggressive fuel pins. Somebody made a longer guide pin out of a drill bit here several months ago....

My IP started leaking out of the vent tube after the DennyT stage II pin install. I put the washer in with the pin, and it was still leaking, just not as bad. Backed out the smoke screw and star wheel a little, and the leak has stopped. The truck still runs great, and smokes less on the low end.

Its a combo of ULSD and the travel of the pin. If the oring is bad it will start to leak a bit, the pin does increase the travel and can aggravate bad o rings.

This is a problem with most aggressive aftermarket pins, or cuts. Not just the DennyT pin. Just so you know.

I had the same problem with the aggressive stg. 2 pin. My star wheel was set deep and I raised it a bit and the leak quit. Don't know what the star wheel had to do with it "just was the 1st thing I tried" but solved the prob.
