Fuel leak

I seem to have a fuel leak under the inj pump. I cant see where its coming from. Its just enough to cause hard starting after sitting over night. Is there a common place to leak on these? It looks like it comes from center of the pump.

Sounds like your pump is in need of a re-seal! I'm guessing it's the fuel pin plunger to the governor o-ring. Typical for them to leak there.

I just redid my pump and resealed it also. Hope I have it right. Quite a chore doing it the first time. But I have the confidents to do another one. I just bought a complete engine with a spare pump also. So I have another one to do. If you patient and have some skills you can do it. YouTube has alot of info also, the best I found was on YouTube made by diesel pump specialties. They have disassembly and assembly vids on the ve pump. bannerd seems to have a grip on these pumps and has probably given you the direction to start in. A good small mirror and a bright flashlight can be a big help in finding your leak. Good luck with your truck!!
