fuel leak

I had fuel leaking from fuel filter and from bottom of pump. The filter was loose and tightened it and it stopped leaking and the pump stopped leaking most of the time..every now and then it leaks but not as much as it was. I cant tell where it is coming from . Seems to be coming from the bottom. It is a 93 with 208000 miles..It was still runnning good with the leak. What am i to look for..

Try to see if it seems to be coming from the side of the pump towards the engine, or from the bottom of the pump towards the back.

Sounds like the timing piston cover. Quick easy fix - once you pull the pump.
