I strongly believe that's cause of wheelbase..... Std cab trucks are less bouncy than CC trucks brand new off the line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You got a 4D long box that truck never came off the line with 4WD... Do you know why??? I'll tell you It's because they bounced too much.
NO off the shelf leaf spring has ever been built for that wheelbase truck
You know I had never thought of it that way. The fact that the factory may have made a long box 4wd crew and discovered in testing that it was way too bouncy.

I have no problem modifying the set-up I have now, with the mods that sevnt300 came up with.

Anyone else think these look kind of goofy? Why would the leafs be all the same length at one end?

It all depends on what you want. Those are high rate springs that hold the load starting from 0. Ride like a buckboard, deflect less under load.

The reason leaves are shorter in the stack is to provide a progressive rate. The heavier the load, the stiffer the spring. One drawback is that it can overload the main leaf at the ends if it's designed wrong.

On their site they have "3 LEAF DESIGN - "THESE SPRINGS RIDES SOFTER THEN OUR 2 LEAF DESIGN""

Kind of hesitant about buying them but I might go have a look after work. The least they could do is double check their grammar

Im guessing bisteins.. they did not fit on my truck the right way

I got some skyjackers on my truck cause they fit right. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...t308959p2.html

the only road that I dont like driving my truck on is the underside of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_Canal_Bridge. that bridge makes my outback hop

You drive truck for a living you so know how bad the I5 is going thought Seattle mainly southbound in between the convention center and boeing field.

I fly down that chunk of hiway 70 plus drinking coffee. truck is empty no load.

My springs that I bought from CS are stock not hacked in any way and never will be.

Whatever the rate (softness or hardness) it'll be the same from no load to the blocks.

Most of us have variable loads, ie empty or a cord of oak. We need springs that change characteristics with load, thus multi-leaf progressive springs.

I am sorry guys but I think parabolic springs are a poor design. The latest 3 leaf pack shown in pic above is proof positive.

I agree. I hear more bad than good about them. there must be a "sweet spot"(wheel base weight) though, as they work well for some people.

Could be any combination of things shocks ,wheelbase, weight.
For me they are too hit and miss to justify the cost.

There no hit and miss when you use the right shocks

The cheese eaters that are complaining about the PB springs fail to mention the shocks the are using.

I still am not convinced. I can get a better ride using a known combination for half the price. that leaves me with more money for other parts.
