Front end question

I just replaced upper and lower ball joints, strut rod bushings center link and got an alignment. It starts shaking about 70-75. What could be the problem

Sounds like it could be tire balance or a separated tire. Does the shaking stop above 75? If so, probably balance...Mark

Did it do it before hand?

Myself, I am under the belief that these trucks werent made to run that fast. I know they should be able to, but IMO, these trucks were made back when the speed limits were 55 mph. As we push them harder to go faster, IMO, things go wrong. If its any consolation, I have fought vibrations for a long time, replacing almost everything on my truck at one time or another, and anything over 70 - 75, it feels like its going to grenade apart. But, I can cruise all day from 60-68 all day smooth.

The next thing I am going to try is those centeramics wheel balancers. Hopefully they are here for Christmas.

Mine humms along at 60 like it loves it. At eight she is stretching out a little but 90 is when I start getting nervous.

I agree check tire balance or for tread seperation. I would also make sure the trims are centered on the lugs. Normally that is a problem on duallies with flange nuts not singles with tapered nuts.

Dunno about speed part, mine doesnt mind a 100, course its rather revved at that speed.
Loosen all lug nuts with it jacked up, use two log nuts of new design not the his and her type, Sometimes they dont line up perfect so regular nuts with the cone will line then up, then tighten em all up.

Since my motor upgrades I've pushed mine to the stop on the speedo which is 180km or roughly 112mph.... It shakes a bit but nothing to get too worried over.
