You still have .4 with an additional wire? Unfortunately a continuity check may not tell the whole story on these old wiring harnesses.

Does the a/c compressor clutch engage? If you drive it does the o/d work?

Try plugging in the PCM from your truck. If yours was originally a stick the o/d won't work but it should still charge.

That is what it looks like. The green wire should be grounded by the pcm. Check the continuity from the alternator to the pcm

Does the ac compressor clutch come on? Also does the O/D work? I ask these questions because it can point you/us in the right direction. If there is no CPS signal at the PCM, or it's not reading it then you won't have A/C, O/D or alternator charging. It's hard enough to diagnose stuff over the internet but without answering all the questions it makes it much harder and sends us all off in different directions. So please let us know if the A/C and O/D work.

Yep, check your OD operation........

Johnny, does the first gen use the CPS sense to bring in the ASD relay like the second gen does?

Man, these are the times I wish I had a 92 or 93 service manual.

The ASD should turn on for 3 seconds key on even if the engine isn't running. If it doesn't see the engine running it would then shut off. Once it sees the engine running it will turn it back on.

I wish I had a manual too, the only schematics I have access to don't show a CPS and have an external regulator. Pre 91.5 I'm guessing.

Run the link, then in your browser scrape off the "18" and put in the sheet number you want.
