fixing a gauge

My old man is wanting to upgrade his gauges in his 99 cummins dually 6spd and told me he would basically give me the gauges in there now. which is a killer deal for me. its an isspro pyrometer and another. for the life of me i cant remember what it is white faces with blue needles.

The catch is that the pyro sticks at about 400. Is there a way to fix this? Or is it junk?

This could also be a bad pyro tip. Check it against a good one. Maybe you get lucky.
