Finally bought a 1st gen!!!!

I'm back in the saddle again! After having had a 93W350 CC 5 speed I sonld 3 years ago, and then a 99 3500 qc 4x4 5 speed I sold a month ago, I was truckless. Yesterday I just bought a 93 W350 CC 5 speed that's almost identical to my previos 93! Same color, same options, except it's got a bench seat instead of buckets. It's got a little rust in the rocker panels, but overall is solid and drives nice.

One question though: Somebody took the shift **** for the transfer case off, and also for the trans shifter. Any idea where I could get something to put on there? I've heard they're pretty pricey from the dealer.

Congrats on the truck.

Just be glad the truck isn't pink and has a shift handle.

If you want a plain black, inexpensive, threaded ****, they are harder than you think to find. I bought mine at Carquest after an exhaustive search of the nationwide stores(Pep Boys....etc).

I once put Coors keg spigot handle (plastic of course) on my '99. Then the pilot bearing went out and I couldn't shift the ol' beast, I got mad and tried to slam it in gear. Don't do this. After 5 stiches in my hand and two weeks of recovery, I put the stock one back on.
