Question Ductwork boots

In disassembling my mess, I found that the turbos outlet boot had been rubbing on the inner fenders rubber skirt. It's worn enough to me, to warrant replacement.

OK.

I'm doing the upgrade thing, hybrid HX35, 190's or PODs, ATS manifold, full 4" exhaust, yadda, yadda.

I've not checked with my local parts house or Dodge, just on-line stuff. I'm pretty much finding what most term as stock or the $200.+ stuff.

What's the rated max pressure supported by stock hoses? Is what I'm gonna do balloon the stock mess? What about stuff for air hose work in the big rigs like this: http://shop.airflowonline.com/Mercha...tegory_Code=HH

What's your experience with selecting/replacing charge-air hoses?

On a related note, ya reckon there'd be any benefit by enlarging the actual charge-air tubing a little by using boots like this? : http://shop.airflowonline.com/Mercha...tegory_Code=HH

Thanks guys.

On a side note, Folks please forgive me if I'm presenting too many separate threads. I figure some of my questions are rather pointed and others here may benefit from your answers and suggestions. I'd hate to see y'alls input on such lost in some long-winded thread that's 4 or 5 pages long.

that black hose is for intake air only! if you pressurize it it will pop! call piers for the hitemp turbo pressure hose or use this for boost pressure

PS airflow inc. are real good to deal with. never a problem 1

What Rebal says is right. PDR sells a 1st gen boot kit that comes with clamps. Also NAPA stores can get you the high temp/high pressure hose by the foot.

What ID should we ask for when ordering the Napa hose?

You have to ask them to look it up and order it by inside diameter. Napa gets it by bulk, hopefully your store will be willing to send for a length and cut off the size you need, mine did that. If you can find the part number stamped on it, and have a Cummins shop in the area, they can get it. Dodge wants to hold your kids birth certificate.

I ended up ordering the 1st gen kit from PDR.

FYI: The PDR kit comes with new clamps as the new hose is a bit larger in OD and the stock clamps ain't quite big enough.

Thanks folks.
