a few numbers

Well I just got back from my trip to Lancaster PA earlier today and got some cool info I thought I'd share.
Pulling a 40' 2 car gooseneck (4500 maybe 5K pounds guestimate)

EGT's maxed out at 925* (long grade) cruising at 70-75 MPH
Fuel mileage~ 14.9 MPG (I picked up the trailer in western NY and filled up this morning after pulling with 1 fill up while pulling)

Empty return trip
EGT's maxed @ 850* (back side of same long grade when loaded)
Fuel mileage 18.0 (thats half loaded half empty miles)

Funny things I noticed, pulling the trailer mantaining speed at 70 my EGT's were higher then 75 on an even steeper grade! ??????

My EGT's between the both loaded and empty were at no time more then 125* different under all situations. It was a nice day today, saw a bank sign that said 83*

Thought Id share n see what ya'll had to say!

Oh yeah, that was all at 70+ MPH in PA hills.

Could this be because the turbine is spinning faster at 75 and hence shoving more cool air under the hood?

Nice numbers!
