Getrag Shifter possibilities?
Is there any kind of upgrade for a Getrag shafter? I saw someone on here with a Hurst shifter. Ive found a shifter lever that Im gonna fab to work, from a 6sp. Chevy. But if I can find one for smooth shifting...
If you are talking about the pole, I took a length of Schedule 40 1/2" pipe to the exhaust bender and had him make two bends at predetermined locations.
He just used the dies that were already in the bender and "eyeballed" it; it turned out perfect.
For a handle, I have a special old-style custom thirteen-speed, sort of a TEE, but not really a TEE either, with a big contoured grip.
Looks real good and works better.
