Favorite things about my 1st gen.
1: Cheap
2: Easy to fix and weld with the thick metal
3: BIG compared to todays pick-ups
4: Simple engine compartment
5: Visibility & height
6: POWER
7: I love telling them that it is a 93, when they think it is from the 70's
8: Big Honkin' Bumper (BHB??)
9: Lots of room in the dash area for gauges for me (No AC)
10: SAFTEY that comes from numbers 3 & 9
That is just me

man...I'm glad I have those vent windows. Rode w/my sis in her 89 d100 and then ride w/dad and I realized how much I missed those little windows...I've got my own now. That and the semi sound w/a straight pipe is wonderful as well...makes me wish I had a manual transmission.
1. Clean, basic look.
2. No catalytic converter.
3. Minimal electronics.
4. Manual locking hubs, manual transmission, and manually shifted & gear driven transfer case.
5. My girlfriend digs it; She says the bouncy bench seat is how a real truck is supposed to feel. Gotta love a woman that appreciates fine machinery.

.
Roosters, too.
I know that for a fact; as, I saw several coops full, on the back of one, at the goat-sale, the other night.
Saw a real good fight, too; but, that's another story.
