I think guys that make headers for gas engines probably know more about exhaust flow and thermal dynamics Than guys that just sell 4"diesel exhaust that don't even do any of the desing work or dyno the stuff. Stan has been building headers and EXHAUST for a long time. I think he probably has a prety good grasp on things.

Bob French, I should have stated it a little more clearly. My comments weren't targeted at Stan's, as I know they make and design good systems. They have to know what they are doing to do gas systems. My point was in dealing with other vendors I have dealt with, not Stan's.

I should have made that clear in my other post, thanks for catching that and stating the obvious.

As I stated previously, I don't think anyone can go wrong with either Stan's or Rip's.

No problem. I know what your saying about some of the other vendors. It's hard to weed out the fly by night internet speed shop with no overhead or liability and can be shut down tommorow that know less about the product they're selling than you do. What about Jerry Jardines Pinnacle exhaust. I've got his systems on my 2nd and 3rd gen trucks. They're good quality and resonably priced. Jerrys been around forever building exhaust. I think he put the headers on Noahs Ark.
Cheers,
Bob.
