Engine Mounts / Crossmeber

Which way do the mlunts go? Doing a gas to cummins swap on a 93 and it's driving me nut because the mounts don't seem to fit quite right. I pulled everything out of another 93 doner, but removed the old mounts and wound up removing the mounts from the block as well (just the u shaped part, the flat section up against the block never moved) so I'm not totally sure which one goes on which side and which side is up on the mounts themselves. The u brackets apparently are not symetric because when I swapped them I had to move the engine back 3/8" or so to get them in. I think those are right now but would like to verify. Right now the one with the small semi circular cut is on the driver's side.

The issue with the mounts is that one is nice and square but the other is flexing and distorting about 1/4". Tried flipping them around and it still doesn't seem quite right. Mounts are new, Anchor brand as recommended on here, same parts number & look identical. I have the old frame member still and as far as I can tell the frame bolt holes are the same. Any ideas?

Also, are the trans mounts different from gas to diesel? The diesel crossmember has a raised section that's different from the gas one which would mean the 'tripod' like bracket on the bottom of the trans would have to be different, right? I can't find the diesel one at the moment but I swear I had them next to each other and they were the same....?

The U shaped notched motor mount bracket goes on the drivers side and the notch is for extra clearance around the power steering pump lines.
The bolts come from the back of the truck and the nuts attach from the front of them when bolting them to the bracket that bolts to the engine with 4 bolts.

The transmission cross members have a small triangle on them that points to the front of the truck.

The thicker crossmember is to deal with the thicker frames often found on the Cummins trucks.
The intermediate 4x4 transmission bracket of the gas or diesel truck is often the same.

The motor mount when installed correctly fits into a dimple in the crossmember that is also in the motor mounts metal that you bought from Anchor.

I also like to get the motor AND transmission settled in just right BEFORE tightening up the motor and transmission mount bolts all the way.

Okay, got it. So the u brackets are on the right side now.

There's a dimpled area on the u bracket that looks like it's supposed to mate with the dimple on the mount. Are you sure the mount dimple goes down into the frame slot and not into that spot on the u bracket?

Understand all on the cross member. That makes sense though I'm not exactly thrilled to find out I have a weaker frame even through the GVW was the same between trucks. Oh well, not that critical I guess.

And yes, I am leaving mounts loose... among other thing I've had the motor in and out three times now as well as lifting it to swap mounts around a few times. It's not getting locked down until I'm sure I'm not pulling it again.
