Engine died and wont start back up! Need help!

First off I know this is about a 4bt and I have posted on that site as well but thought I would take advise from yall as well. I installed my 4bt into my Toyota pickup. It ran fine in the truck for about 2-3 hrs. Took it for a drive today and after about 15 min. it just died and wont crank back up. When I say it died it just lost RPM's until it died, but still turns over fine. I have power to the injector pump and the fuel filter is still full of fuel as well as the lines to the lift pump and on to the fuel filter. I opened an injector line and pumped the lift pump and got no flow. I also cracked the line from the lift pump to the filter and got no change in pressure of what was leaking out when I originally crakced the line. There also seems to be no resistance on the manual pump when compared to my 12 valve. Question is if the lift pump dies will it cause the engins to just die.

The answer to your question is sometimes.

If you crack the fuel line from the lift pump to the filter, and then crank the engine over, a lot of fuel should come out.

if there is no resistance on the lever try bumping the key and then pumping to see if that changes. if not its very possible you have a frozen lift pump. That actually happened to me a few weeks ago on my truck. Died pulling up to a stop light blasted pump seized right up.... luckily in the up position didnt damage the cam...

It was in the 40's today but the fuel flowed fine from the line when I pulled it loose.

Pull the plunger out of the fuel control solenoid, and put just the housing back, see if it starts. If it does, the solenoid burnt out, not a big thing. You can either run it from the manual shutoff or replace the solenoid.

Removed the plunger and still nothing. Opened the line from the lift pump to the filter and pumped the manual lever and got no fuel spray. Just replaced the lift pump and am waiting on the battery to charge back up to try it again. Left the dang key on when I went to the parts store and ate lunch

Heres two pics. We are working on leveling the front since the diesel was a wee bit heavier than the first motor. Also making some bumpers.

The one in the back ground is my brother in laws 70 something Ford with a 429, 2.5 ton Rockwells and cut 52'' military tires. The 4dr Ford is my father in laws 70 something with 2.5 tons and 60'' tractor tires and a 460. Also included a little pic of the Ford having to pull the my father in laws 12 valve out. Apparently 30,000+ lbs is to much for even the 12valve off road. I tried to keep the weight down on my truck as both of thiers tip the scales at around 10,000 LBS.
