Talking Dynoed today!

The numbers are in my sig. Many thanks to SteamDave and Wes Dimig for their help jumping the timing gears on Saturday. We put the truck at TDC and set the indicator to zero, then jumped the gear a tooth and moved the pump to get the indicator back on zero to give me a baseline. I wouldn't have believed it if I wasn't there, but with the timing set back where it was and the gear jumped a tooth, the stock timing marks line right up. So now my truck looks like it has an 1/8" bump. Wes is a Cummins tech, he cleaned up my timing cover and installed the seals and gasket like they do at Cummins - no leaks!

I dynoed this morning. The KSB was hotwired for 2 of the 3 runs. I did a 3rd water/meth run with the KSB disconnected and lost 34 HP and 12 ft/lbs. I think it's time to start looking at case pressure...

Ha. With that automatic you'd be 6 lengths ahead before I got it into 3rd.

Those are some big numbers there Dave.

So, . . . . . how big are those EDM's?

6x16's, Same ones I put in on saturday and lost almost 40hp with no other changes. ran 370.12/836.70 with POD's, swapped out the injectors and ran again. 332.66/771.30
Dave's at least happy, but now I'm definitely disappointed.
Like Dave said, I think case pressure has to be looked at and maybe some external help.

Dave figured out that my truck had the key in the off position, and there-by was the result of the extremely poor dyno numbers.

Too big for a piston lift pump. I think my Walbro setup needs to be upgraded to keep all the fuel from draining out of the VE when the pedal is mashed.

I was very disappointed with Mike's numbers, I was expecting more out of his truck since he has a decent turbo.

Great numbers!
My writeups aren't worth a darn, but my spare AFC top is tapped for an additional fuel inlet and pressure gauge. Once I get the gauge plumbed in, ya'll get videos of what's going on when a VE starves

edit--good #'s Dave! Must be rough having a 400 RWHP daily driver

edit-edit----did you do the timing with the factory tool? If so, where is it set at compared to your old setting, and, can you feel a difference like what I described?
Thanks!

Dave, I called up SGS regarding the horrible pull. The guy on the phone said he would talk it over with the guys and they would see about letting me get a free pull spring fling.

What a bunch of crap. I'm the one that got short changed. I guess I need to talk to Andy or someone on the site that has some pull up there.
