Drop in boost???

In the last week my boost pressure has been acting funny. on hard acceleration the boost climbs to about 24 psi and then drops fast down to 15 psi or so. I have a 14cm wast-gated housing with the waste-gate disconnected. It would normally run up to 32psi and hold. do you think the waste-gate is opening? maybe bad inter-cooler hose? I felt all the hoses and do not see any tears or obvious leaks.

I know I have a leak in my intake boost hose, and it does exactly the same thing, so I'm guessing you probably have the same issue. A small enough hole that it doesn't leak until the boost starts going up.

It could be running out of fuel due to a bad lift pump or filter. Did you check all the boots closely? Ive had to change the one on the passenger side of the intercooler on several different trucks because the a/c line rubbed a pinhole in it.

found the source of the problem, i had installed a donaldson powercore air filter on the end of my asa intake and found that under high boost it was pulling the filter against the asa intake tube.
