Boost drop off

Today I was driving and floored it to pass a car and noticed the gauge spiked to 25psi then after a couple seconds dropped to 21-20psi and stayed there? The only thing I could think of was the pre spool fuel load hitting causing boost to spike then go down? Or maybe my govenor arm needs adjusted?

I would say you are on the right track with the governer arm. Sounds like it might be just a bit high. Move it down just below the tip of the J hook. Should be able to bring the boost up to about 32- 34 psi
