does anybody have a rear trans mount for a 4x4 518
does anybody have a rear trans mount for a 4x4 518
Hey guy's I need a trans mount for a 4x4 518 transmission the 1 that bolt's to trans anybody know where to get 1 at ? that's what's holding me up from dropping motor n trans into truck .

There are two upper and two lower rubber mounts under the transmission (four total).
Mopar calls them "INSULATOR, Engine Rear Support Upper" and "INSULATOR, Engine Rear Support Lower." The part numbers appear to be the same for automatic and manual transmissions; they are:
Lower: 4106 710
Upper: 3820 921
Although neither part number is listed as "obsolete," there are none of the lower mounts available and no dealer in the US appears to be holding one (per the Dodge computer system for parts). The upper units are widely available at $17.25/each (or $10.80/each if the parts manager at your local Dodge dealer likes you and gives you the employee discount.)

Okay; here's mine. You're looking at the front of the crossmember and the four rubber transmission mounts -- two upper and two lower. (Mopar calls them "Engine Rear Supports"):

The steel saddle that's riveted to the crossmember is a feature only of the trucks with 7" frame rails (such as my '93). It seems the rubber mounts are the same for the automatic and manual tranmissions, but the 1/2" steel plate between the upper and lower mounts is different for the different transmissions.
I had an injection pump leak and the diesel fuel turned my driver side transmission mounts from rubber to black jelly -- cleaning up the mess and replacement is the reason I had everything out of the truck. It's painted white because I have a case of Rustoleum rattle cans that I need to use up. Ping me with further questions...

Be aware however, the OEM lower bushings each have two thin pieces of metal molded into the rubber (on the top and bottom of each bushing) -- like thin metal washers. My driver-side lower bushing was so badly corroded the thin metal piece was rusted and stuck to the metal plate between the upper and lower bushings. I therefore felt it was useful to remove the entire crossmember, sand and wire brush everything back to bare metal, clean with degreaser and paint -- before installing the new mounts.
Thanks again for the link. It is doubly important because the OEM lower bushings are no longer available from Mopar.
