Did I do something wrong to lose the CC?

I just recently picked up another 1st Gen ( '93 W250 auto single cab) and I immediately did the once over in adjustments. While test driving with the previous owner, I noticed a slight, but noticable delay in the 3rd to OD shift. I checked the Sticky instructions and moved the shift cable forward with about a 3/16" gap before touching the bracket(those of you that have done this know what I'm talking about). Anyway, I lost the CC. Is there something that I possibly overlooked? I know the brakes are very mushy; stop means the brake pedal has to pretty much go all the way to the floor board. He had a brand new Master Cyl. installed, and he (previous owner) couldn't understand why it did that. Are the brakes somehow tied into the cruise control with vacuum? Anyway, right now I am wanting to fix the CC, so please help me out on this one. Thanks.

Replace the brake booster. That'll make the system lose vacuum. Im not smart enough to know if its all tied in together as far as the cruise etc.. but thatll definately kill your brakes and make them go a lot further to the floor

do you have a vacuum gauge that you can check what you are pulling? low vac would make the truck hard to stop, non assisted brakes on these trucks are not fun. see what you are pulling for vac.

Do you have pics/diagrams as to where I am pluggin' my vac tool hoses as to check vac pressure? I saw in an earlier post, yours I believe, that you were looking into replacing your brake booster. Did that cure it? Is this a NAPA item? If so, what is it going to run me??

Now wait a minute. I thought booster problems led to a hard pedal, not mushy, or near the floor. However, I'm not smart enough to know if you're smart enough to know something more about this than I do. (which ain't a whole lot)

Cruise worked before you messed with the TV cable? This is stupid, but did you remove the cruise actuator cable to get better access and forget to put it back?

I don't think it's vacuum related.

The brake problem is not vacuum/booster-related.
