Dash lightbulbs

Recently, my dash lights on the oil pressure and fuel level side went out. How do you replace them? Does the front of the dash come off or do I have to crawl underneath and behind and replace them that way/

Youll need to pull your gauge bezel off then pull your gauge cluster out, or at least I did.Takes about 15 minutes. You might could squeeze your hand up there and feel your way through it but sounds like at least two bulbs are out.

LED's rock! I have blue in mine. There not that expencive either, check around on Ebay, I did every light in mine for around 20 bucks with shipping, and I have 6 back lights, and 6 for the dummy lights. Get the 4 bulb for the back lights, and a single for the dummy lights. Oh, and clears for the dummies.
Also, when I did mine I needed a pair of pliers to get them to turn out of the dash. So ya might want to consider just pulling the cluster and unplugging it so its easier to work on. They are 194/168 series bulbs.

I didnt use leds, I just took the plastic covers off and used #194 blue bulbs. Its brighter but still need more. I guess I need to buy some leds myself. Now if I could just see the road at night life would be good.

The wife's truck came from the previous owner with a pair of Wagner Halogen headlights.

As it was, she just kept bragging on how good she could see at night.

She has had a couple dozen various disposable vehicles, including a Bronco II, and two Cherokees; and, none of them have came close to the quality of light that her Dodge had.

Then, I did the RELAY thing.

Since, she has only driven in the dark for a short distance; but, I am anxious to see just how much better the relays are gonna be.

It went from 11.3 Volts at the light to 14.5 Volts.

Try the relay modification and see if you can see then.

fleabay diamond cut lenses?

Yeah ive been thinking about trying that mod, considering my bright light switch does not work and my wagner halogens are full of condensation I figured I may fix the "real" problems first. My po apparently never drove at night. Hey has anyone tried those diamond cut lenses that fit h4 bulbs off of fleabay? I thought this may be a step in the right direction considering you can pick these up for 25 bucks shipped w/ bulbs per pair.

I have been trying to get pictures for a while now, but for some reason my camera just will NOT pick up the blue in my guages!

It is really awesome, I will have to try again tonight, I have to go to Phila. with a friend, and back up to Conn. after that!
The only issue I am acctually having and dont know why, I cant dim them now. I had this LED's in my Freightliner and they dimmed fine, and when I only had the speedo bulbs in till I got the rest, it dimmed fine. Dimmer switch?
It doesnt blow u away, n it illuminates nice, but i like mine kinda dark.

Cowboy,
It might be that there isn't enoulf load for the dimmer to function. I beleave it is a resistor not electronic.

Interesting, I know LED's are a lot cooler running, and less draw. Same voltage I believe. Im no expert on lights, and electricity ( I just know I dont get along with electricity, thats why im not an electrician! )
