Been using these for a while. Much nicer than the form a gasket goop, and they seal nicely.

One time use, but no scraping and they're not very expensive. I keep a half, dozen or or so in stock.

Absolutely correct.

Fel pro makes a couple different versions, but this one is embossed. What happens is when you clamp down on the bolts (Torque to spec or whatever you're comfortable with) the embossed part flattens out. I've used these for about 10 years, and never have they leaked. They're so easy as well, as they just fall off, wipe down the surfaces, and install a new one.

They're only good for one shot, but for a couple of dollars, it's well worth not having to deal with that goop.

here's the linky from Amazon:

Why are they so much more? Is it a tariff or the distance?

500% is a big markup

Welcome to buying parts in Canada....just the way it is, sure it has to do with taxes and tariffs but costs of parts are usually a minimum 50% more up here. I priced out some tune up and servicing parts for my daughter 02 Neon, through Rockauto was around $250 Cnd, local parts shop wanted over $700 for the same parts!

My god....

That's insane. I get the idea that you live in God's country, but that's a heck of a price to pay for being so lucky to live where you do.

Let's hope the new trade deal goes through, and you (Canada) benefits from it.

Again.

Why?

What causes this economic burden upon the fine people of Canada? Corrupt politicians like we have here? Or is there some other factor guiding this ?

When I clicked the link, Amazon said it doesn't fit my 89 D350. Does FelPro make one to fit?

Fwiw it says the same for my truck....that it doesn't fit.

A decade of use on my ride says differently.

Make sure both mating surfaces are spickey span clean.

After that initial cleaning, all you'll ever have to do is wipe it diwn, a little brake cleaner and slap it together.

Are you trying to say that Amazon is wrong?

That's great to hear! I'll get a couple for my next job.
