Axle seal Dana 60

2000 Ram 2500 Dana 60
I pulled the axle and replaced a u-joint on the passenger side. Prior to this I didn't have a leak. After the repair I developed a leak out of the axle tube. I didn't think that axle reached the seal but only the carrier. Did I screw up my inner seal putting it back in or maybe when the u-joint went bad? Wasn't expecting to have that issue because I thought I was nowhere near it so didn't take a whole lot of precaution installing it. Any ideas? TIA

There is a seal at the center section you need to thread the axle through if you pulled it. you may have damaged it or drug some dirt through....that's the longer side so it's easier to mung up....

It is also likely to just deform the seal temporarily, sometimes the leak will slow down or stop all together after a while.
