Dana 61 hub replacement?

A friend of mine was 4wheeling last thursday hit a rock and ended up breaking the drivers side hub off down to where you can see the end of the axle stub shaft inside. It has the factory selectro hubs. He wanted me to ask if anyone knew where he could get a one, so far he's been unable to find a selectro replacement or if he could swap to Warn premium hubs on both sides?

What year truck, if it is an `89 the Dana 60 is externally splined(this is a Cummins powered truck I assume). If this is the case he will have to put `90-93 Dodge 60 or Chevy hubs(both internally splined), then he can put the Warn hubs on.

89 or 90 Cummins w250. The dealer said it was 90 but I thought the selectro hubs only came on an 89.

That is what I have found too. I have looked at a couple of `90's and all of them had internally splined Warn hubs, and the one `89 I looked at had Selectros.

Hmm, could be a early `90 thing too, maybe a previous owner did some axle swapping, hard to say. However to put the Warn's on hell have to swap out the hubs off of the rotors but I think the rotors can be reused. Good luck.
