i striped out one of the holes for the studs that hold the kingpin cap down on the driverside
the threads on one of the studs was messed up and it cleaned out all the threads in the hole well i decided to go to the next size up and drill and tap it for 9/16 and just use a bolt instead of a stud and everthing works fine except that i have to take it apart every 3 or 4 days and spin the bushing back to where it needs to be for the wheel to be standing straight up and not leaning in at the top it's like i'm not gettting the cap on there tight enough but i'm putting all i've got into it through a 20" breaker bar which i know is more than enough and i've even put lock tight on the threads and the king pin bushing still spins it causes my steering to loosen up and have a bunch of slop or i would just drive the thing an not worry about it what do u guys think are my kingpins wore out and need to be replaced or do u think that my rigging job on the knuckle wasn't good enough and i need to buy a new knuckle or should i rebuild the kingpin setup on both sides and buy a new knuckle and do it right but thats going to cost more than i want to pay but i guess thats something that i shouldn't be afraid to shell out the cash for sence i ride on that wheel and i coming off could be a bad thing

we put 60 in jeeps all the time and use the hi steer arms I drill them out for the biger bolts never had a problem with them has the tab on the bushing wore off where the bushing can spin
are the bolts loose everytime you check? and i dont think it matters where the bushing is, i believe there the same all around, mine i just did and it was real bad on the drivers side, wore right through the bushing and i believe into the pin it's self but havent replaced it and it still leans a little, but i think i will have to replace the pin also, whitch you may have to, or like they say mabe the bolts hitting bottom, but shouldent the other 3 hold it pritty good still. just my .02
it's not because that the bolts are bottoming out cause they are studs. If that tab your talking about is what i'm thinking about then no thay haven't wore off. so you guys think it's ok that i drilled and tapped it for 9/16 and should i go ahead and do it to the rest of the holes to make all the holes the same and i think i'm just going to go ahead replace the bushings and bearings on both sides just so i know what i'm working with so where would be a good place to get them from.
i dident order mine from this place, but these people seam to have the spicer stuff whitch is better.www.venturesparts.com, here are some handy instructions http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billav...pin/index.html, and here is where i bought my parts from, came with a movie to do the job, all the grease, bearings, caps, buchings, instructions they were pritty helpful http://quad4x4.com/Dodge%20Different...le%20Parts.htm
IIRC that bushing is not a camber bushing. The only way it would effect it was if the bushing was worn out or broken. Try putting a 1/16 fender washer under the cap. It will put a tad more pressure on the spring. I have done that to solve"death wobble" problems in the past.
FWIW.... my caps are held on with bolts.
