d80 swap question
i just bolted up a srw dana 80 on my truck, i had the driveshaft shortened and ran into another problem, the rear disc brakes wont engage when i push the brake pedal in, so my question is why arent they working? could it be the master cylinder? or maybe a 2nd gen proportioning block is needed? any input would be appreciated

Wanadiesel told me a few weeks back in the Thursday night chat room, that he thought the master cylinder had to be changed also. I don't want to quote him on that as it was weeks ago. If you haven't read already read I am trying to get as much info on this swap also for my 93 W350. One of us should do a right up when we are done for the sticky as there doesnt seem to be much detailed info out there on the swap.

the master cylinder doesn't put out the pressure the calipers need to compress the pads against the rotors. i read about this elsewhere and there were numbers i found as well. don't know them off the top of my head but to apply drum brakes required a significantly lower pressure.
