Cruise Control Cable Adjustment

Greetings folks... I have searched this forum, other forums, and burnt up Google. Is there a procedure for adjusting the cruise control cable on a 1st gen (1992 / 2WD / auto)?

Thanx!!!

I know it's simple I have had to do it a few times on my truck mine wouldn't stay adjusted.there is a little metal clip that holds cable housing it in place just remove it and slide the cable to the back so the front of the loop is close to the pin then put the clip back on . if it won't stay adjusted the quick fix is to put 1/4" 2 piece shaft collar on the cable on the back side of the mounting bracket. a new cable is not available from Dodge so it's a wrecking yard or the shaft collar fix. good luck Ken

Thank you, Ken! I have not attempted the adjustment yet, but as I recall mine has a lot of slack thus is probably way out of adjustment. Big rain coming, will get at it after the monsoon is over. Thanks again!!!
