Cruise control: need quick question answered on the cable

Seems that lately there has been a lot of posts regarding CC problems. Hopefully mine is simple and may help others.
When I rotate my throttle bracket rearward towards firewall manually on my '93 D250 all linkages move to the rear. The CC on this truck works.
When I do the same on my '93 W250, all linkages move rearward towards firewall as the D250 except the CC linkage. The CC does not work on this truck. Does this help in solving my problem of CC w/o??

Do you think the cable snapped inside the CC servo?

I figured instead of starting a new thread on this topic I'd add my current situation. Just this past weekend my CC decided to become erratic, it would work, then kick off then try come back on, kick off 1/2 second later all the while jerking back and forth. I had it working yesterday for about 20 miles at 105km/h (if it matters) and then it did its routine of deciding whether or not to go on or off. I didn't realize it until yesterday but cruise control is a NICE feature. My leg was cramping up staying in the same position for 45+minutes. I quickly checked my linkage and it seems to be working fine but I'm going to have another look at it tomorrow.

So here are my thoughts on the whole situation:

1) The cruise control servo is going bad and needs replacement (any idea as to what these little buggers cost?)
2) The connection to the servo needs to be cleaned (the wiring looks in good condition)
3) The PCM is going bonkers, I doubt this since the truck has 0 problems otherwise
