Question covering your trim parts?

ok so what im looking at doing is covering all of my trim parts with a 1/4 in foam then covering that with some kind of cloth or some thing of the nature. i will cut the foam out around were the panals meet. im thinking of this because i dont have more than 2 pices that match the dash and i was going to make them match the dash. i was looking to see some pictures or your thoughts on this

thans shane.

A lot of plastic in vehicles is formed in black and painted. If it's done right it looks stock, done wrong it looks like a high schoolers first attempt at auto customization with 99 cent spray paint.

That said you sound pretty set on covering them. Have you considered head liner material. It seems like a lot of newer cars have something that looks similar to headliner on the pillars.

Neat way to do things...but the fabric choice leaves much to be desired...at least for me...

It all depends on the product you use and your prep work. Dupont vinyl dye is the best stuff I have seen and they can custom match it to you factory color. It will look brand new and look factory

Here is my dash after a reshoot of DuPont dye. If you look at the ash tray. I have not redyed it yet.
