cooler injectors

I went to the scrap yard yesterday, truck only 10,540lbs gross. I had to really watch the egts, with the pods it got hot quick. My concern is with my trailer (small 8x10) loaded with oak it might hit meltdown. So are the edms any cooler? Still want the power but need to loose about 200 deg. I hoped the PS62 would control the egts better. Would jumping the pump gear 1 tooth help at all (still havent done my kdp, but i got the gaskets). Any ideas, firewood season is comming soon.

Cooling

Engine or exhaust too hot ? Water injection, Twin turbos, exhaust manifold, all of these are prover temp lowering just depends on budget.

He's talking about exhaust temps too hot.

I'm running a similar setup and my egt's are manageable when towing. I don't know how much jumping a tooth will help, but I plan on finding out some point in time.
I see in you sig the star wheel is down, mine is high, any higher and it would probably cause coil bind on the spring.

What's your egt on a empty flat out WOT run, mine will creep to 1400* instead of burying itself with the other turbo.

I can hit 1400 at wot if i stay in it. Loaded and being easy on it i was around 1100-1300 depending terain (hills) crusing was about 1000. I have a stage 2 snow but havent got it on yet. I know pods are dirty and was thinkin there must be a better injector for the job.

That snow will cool you off plenty once you get it dialed in right. If you plan on much towing though, plan on putting in a big tank. Id stay away from the one they sell for $160-you can get the same tank at northern for about 40-50.

Have you pressure tested your intake system? I had a stock intercooler that LOOKED fine, but put the pressure to it, and it leaked like a seive. I installed a 96 Dodge intercooler and dropped 300deg across the board. Towing a 2640 JD tractor on a 18ft carhauler, I never topped 1100deg, and had some decent hills. Nothing real long, but more than just rolling hills.

Daniel, i havent soaped it up yet but this is the excuse i needed to do the PS intercooler swap. It will make 40lbs of boost instantly but that dosent mean half the air aint blowing out the grill. JD730 nice numbers if i can get a stronger clutch in by Oct.20, i hope to dyno in the twin citys and love to see 350-375hp.
