Broken Glass
Last night the Glendale Police Department got me up at 2:30 AM to let me know that someone went up our block with a baseball bat braking car windows.
My 1990 Dodge was the last of the eight vehicles with the bat under my truck.
They also tried to brake the window on my Mercury Sable, but the bat did not brake the tempered glass only leaving a 3 inch long mark.
The vent window and drivers side mirror were broken on the Dodge.
My question is can only the glass be changed on the adjustable mirror without purchasing a complete mirror?

I just got new glass for my '93 remote mirrors from the glass company. They supplied Burco 2276. Mirrored both sides, fits either side.
They said glue it on with silicone.

Yeah insurance company should fix that.. that's why you pay it. When I bought my truck I received just window insurance, few days ago I just did the full coverage for $35 a month.

Trouble is they often raise your rates after you file a claim. In the long run it may be cheaper to just pay for the glass out of pocket...and get one of those shot guns! lol

Wasn't really worried. I use Novus glass, and they're real good at what they do.

LOL I haven't gotten around to putting mine in yet. I need to remove the old scratched up plastic crap that's in the mirrors, do the Jim Lane overhaul of the motors, and install the new glass. Now I know they'll fit.

Are they 2 pieces of glass with the silvering in the middle?

It's flat glass, mirrored on both sides. I think there's a notation on the box to warn the user that the right mirror will not be convex and thus will have a narrower field of view.
