brakes wont release

having trouble with my front brake caliper. it seems as if it is binding up. would this indicate a faulty caliper or some other faulty component?

thanksa

Could be the caliper. But could also be a collapsed flexible brake line. And if you say they were just done recently...check them again. I had to redo the rear one on my 68 Chrysler wagon after 18 months, and maybe 1000 miles. I could blow through it one way, but not back the other.

Unless it's untaxed, then it's red.

crap can get caught up in the caliper piston too, if you lived further north i'd point fingers at snow treatments like sand and salt building up, espically if the rubber boot is damaged. deal with it sooner rather than later, once you warp a rotor you'll be in for a whole weekend project replacing that.
