Brake Question

On my 92 250 2WD when I sit at a light for a while with the brake pedal pushed in the E-Brake and Anti-Lock brake lights on the dash light up. They go away right away when I accelerate from the light, any idea what could cause this? Everything else seems OK, think my front rotors are a little warped, but the ABS works. I do have a little brake creep as well, might be time for a new master cylinder. Everything is original on the truck and it has 72k miles. Just drove it from Seattle to LA and back and it did great!

Sounds like a leak in the hydraulic system. Are you losing brake fluid anywhere?

Just checked the Master Cylinder and the front reservoir was way low, looks like the rear cylinders might be leaking. Hmmm...maybe time for some rear disc brakes

Question Brake Question (where is the dash light?)

My E-Brake light does not come on when the key is in the "ON" position. It never has since I owned the truck (1 year). I suspect that the bulb is the problem, could you please telll me where on the dash the light is located?

I have a 91 Dodge W-250 4WD.

Thanks
Dale

its in the diesel message center to the right. just pull dash and replace the bulb. I believe its at the top directly above the antilock.

I have the same symptom and I'm led to believe it is the low vacuum warnining sensor. I've checked everything else I can find including all the vacuum lines, brake resevoir, possible leaks, etc. Brake pedal is firm, brakes no prob. Dash light just likes to come on while sitting at stopligts.
