Brake Controller

What color is the wire that goes to the brake switch that is cold untill the brake is applied? I need to find that wire so I can hook up my brake controller. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

Jeromy, do you have a test probe? If not, I can check the wiring diagram tonight when I get home. What unit are you putting on?

I went out to my truck a minute ago to see if I could spot the wire. Way too many wires under the dash!!

Yeah I have a test light, but I was running out of time to test the wires so I thought I would post it and by the time I got to work someone might have the answer for me. I was right thanks Wanna. I bought the top of the line Prodigy. Its the same one my Dad has and he likes it. I installed my B&W turnover hitch a while ago so I thought I had better get the controller in before I hook up to a trailer especially with the hills sound here.

You really dont want to look under my dash either it looks like a big rats nest. You can ask Ponci about it. I think he cusses me everytime he has to run wires to something. One of these days I will get some time to try and straighten everything out. Or I might just have Brad do it and save me the headache.

Well I figured it out it is the solid white one. Its still not completely hooked up, but I will finish it up tomorrow. I have to go to the ranch so I will hook up to one of our trailers and see if it works.

Sorry Stomp, the FSM said white with a tan stripe. I guess I should have gone out and crawled under the dash and looked at how mine was wired.

No biggie Wanna. Thanks for taking the time to look it up in the FSM. It only took a second to find it with the test light. You were half correct it was white just no tan stripe.
