Birthday pressent
Well my B-day is coming and I was wondering what i should ask for. My truck is stock 93 w-350 and is ungodly slow. It is hard to breakem loose in the rain . I have a piece of straight pipe for the muffler but have yet to put it in. I will be building a 4" stainless exhaust w/ 5" stack after I get the new bed put on. I have a new filter in the box because I haven't made the bhaf mount yet. I already have a full compiment of gauges so i'm goo there, just unsure of the go fast parts. I was thinking 14cm housing or maybe injectors. Something that can justify the crappy fuel mileage I get now, avg. 13 mpg.

My goal is 400hp/800 lbs ft. I know I will need injectors, 14 or 12cm housing, 4" exhaust. bhaf w/ mount, 3200 spring, and a ground pin. Am i leavin anything out. And as I get b-day gifts, X-mas, and Graduation gifts, wich order should I put them on.

If you are going for 400 hp, you will be at more like 850-900 tq. You will need the 14cm housing, the 12 will be too much restriction/heat at high rpms. You will also need a better turbo unless you like the sight of a pegged pyrometer and then a sinking feeling... Maybe an HX40 or so?

If you are going with an exhaust and intake before too long, and you can keep an eye on the pyrometer, then I think injectors would be the most fun. Then you could just to a turbo or housing upgrade later to reach your 400hp goal.

Well for a 400 hp final goal, I'm pretty sure PODs or some EDM's ($$$$$) are the injectors to get. PODS will probably drop your around town mileage though. Once you put the 3200 spring in and you have pods you will probably be able to get it pretty toasty, especially if you grind the AFC lever and/or the fuel pin...

You will need a turbo to get to 400hp. Right now I can only think of 4 people that have over 400hp with a dyno sheet to prove it. Actually I think they are all over 500hp now. If you ask anyone of them they will tell you that you will need a bigger turbo to support 400hp and have it run half way cool. Just a housing swap wont cut it. Highest I ever got with a H1C was 338hp. I am sure that someone could go higher, but it would be too hot to run very long.

Pod's all the way if you want power, pass on the 190's. I think you were tryin to get at 1 ton or 250 3/4 ton turbo?? Same turbo's in both. I don't think any 1st gens with hx35 type turbo have broken 400rwhp. Pass on the housing change, unless you don't plan on going for big power. Big power, keep your 18.5 housing for now, then go with a bigger than hx35 turbo.
Recap: POD's yes. 190's no. 12,14,16 housing no. Big turbo(s) YES. Air + Fuel = Power. Oh and then a KTA Special 14mm pump would be nice too...

If you are worried about fuel economy, don't try to play the "big power" game. The POD's dropped me from 16 mpg in town to 14 mpg.
Stomp and Bill have given good advice. My truck isn't even close to 400 HP and there is no way a hybrid is gonna keep it cool. At a minimum you need a big single, to tow (and use the power) you better have twins.
