BHAF and Old Smokey Mount Installed!

Hi all. Last night I got my Old Smokey-style mount and BHAF installed. Haven't had a chance to drive her yet, so I don't know what the improvements may be. Pics are in my gallery.

Install went fine...until I forgot to measure. I pulled the coolant bottle, the jack, the jack handles/lug wrench, the A/C thingy, and the headlight out so that I would have a nice clean field of play for the install. I got it all bolted in nice and pretty, put the coolant bottle and everything else back in, and , I mounted it too close to the coolant bottle! The snorkel wouldn't fit past the coolant bottle and go over the filter neck. So I had to take everything back out, and move it 1 1/4" toward the back of the truck. It's now about 1/4" from the A/C thingy (what IS that thing - accumulator, condenser, evaporator, dryer, spinner, etc.?).

Anyway...except for the extra holes in my mount...I think it looks pretty good. I've got parts ordered from http://www.airflo.com/ for the super WannaDiesel-style smooth intake.

The AC thingy you're talking about is the filter/dryer. Good to hear you got it done. Edit: wow that looks really good!!! Now I see why you guys don't have your bhaf vibrating of the intake hose. I have no mount, my filter just lays on the fender liner. So thats why I needed a 4" clamp. I think you guys with mounts can easily get away with the 5" oem clamp.

It looks good. I think that your truck is the same base-color as mine -- did a double take looking at the fender well

Looks nice tuckerdee!! when I first put in my smoky mount I did`nt even have a clamp on it because the stocker was way too big, drove it like that for a week till i got the right sized clamp and it never came apart.

Lookin' good! Extra style points for the diamond plate.

And the extra holes are hidden under the fender. If you don't say anything we'll keep quiet.

I know you can't see them. But I know the holes are there, lurking under the fender, and that bugs the out of me. You'ld think that hearing my dad tell me, "Measure twice, cut once" about a billion times would have done something for me!
