For those of you who have built the Old Smokey Mount, what are you making it out of? Material SS or aluminum? And thickness? Thanks.

 

I used 1/8" aluminum for mine.

 

Don't have mine in the truck yet but it was fabbed out of 20 gauge mild steel.

 

Made first one out of 062 looked to flimsy and made another out of 125. Looked much sturdier and put that one in my truck.

 

I Stole a teflon coated cookie sheet from the old lady. Please don't tell her.

 

I appreciate the feed back...thanks guys. One other quick question about the BHAF and I should be on my way. I know you can get the BHAF from Wix, Fleetguard, Napa..etc, etc. Are they all the identical filter, or are they just all the same sized filter, but different brands? And if so, is one brand any better than the next? Thanks in advance.
