Don't worry of the no overcharge situation, the alternator will give out 120 amps.

I notice you are Canadian. Try unplugging your Daytime Running Lamp module to see if the draw disappears. Have seen this problem before, although rare. It's a small black box, located on the passenger side inner fender, under the hood. It's close to the windshield washer reservoir, if I recall.

re the dtrl module - I have a couple of spares and will swap em in and see....... Dang, I am going to have to write down all of these ideas.

These terminals have corrosion on them that is as tough as the cummins I will sniff around this area too.
