Cool Baseline established at The Rock

Having never been on a strip in a formal setting, I finally got the chance to see what my heap is good for and was pleasantly surprised.

This was the Mopars & DHRA at The Rockingham International Raceway.

I made four passes so as to come to a reasonable base-line.

Code:
Pass 1 2 3 4
R/T .618 .722 .667 .690
60' 2.059 2.036 2.072 2.060
330' 6.199 6.239 6.283 6.259
1/8 8.452 9.852 9.888 9.863
MPH 68.16 67.59 67.71 67.69
1000' 12.909 13.008 13.030 13.015
1/4 15.563 15.681 15.694 15.692
MPH 84.52 83.96 84.26 83.89
I need to practice my reaction time. Losing a half second would be neat.

The second pass was running with Mcmopar (12.887 @ 104.06).

It was a fun day filled with meeting a bunch of folks from DTR as well as DTW.

My Son, his girlfriend, and myself got up early-thirty so as to get down there around 8:00a. With staying up late the night before tuning and cleaning, we were too tired to stay the full day. We pulled out at about 5:30p. They were just before starting the DHRA runs. Hope they didn't get rained out.

BTW, I'm still running the OEM "Slip-O-Matic" torque converter.

Those are some great numbers--it's nice when time and research matching components pays off

Just think what it'll do with a decent torque converter.
