Baseline established at The Rock
Having never been on a strip in a formal setting, I finally got the chance to see what my heap is good for and was pleasantly surprised.
This was the Mopars & DHRA at The Rockingham International Raceway.
I made four passes so as to come to a reasonable base-line.
I need to practice my reaction time. Losing a half second would be neat.
The second pass was running with Mcmopar (12.887 @ 104.06).
It was a fun day filled with meeting a bunch of folks from DTR as well as DTW.
My Son, his girlfriend, and myself got up early-thirty so as to get down there around 8:00a. With staying up late the night before tuning and cleaning, we were too tired to stay the full day.
We pulled out at about 5:30p. They were just before starting the DHRA runs. Hope they didn't get rained out.
BTW, I'm still running the OEM "Slip-O-Matic" torque converter.
